H.g Wells
H.G Wells is the author of the Invisible man, War of Worlds and the Island of Dr Moreau. He is considered the father of science-fiction along with Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback.
H.G wells live a poor child life; he had 3 siblings and him being the youngest out of them all. This dad owned a small shop and played prosenoal cricket but received very little pay for it . When H.G wells was little he broke his leg, to pass he the time he read book in the library this is were he got his passion for books. Eventually Wells father broke his thigh ending his cricket carrer and forcing the family into poverty to make money Wells was sent to do apprentices along with his brothers. When he was 14 he was a apprenticed to a draper who soon dismissed him, he then was an assistant to a chemist, another draper and then a usher. When he turned 18 he won a scholarship at biology at Normal School of Science in London studying biology. He graduated London University in 1888 and became a science teacher and married twice (first to his cousin Isabel, then to a pupil of his called Amy Robbins after he had divorced with Isabel).Wells had many affairs with Women but stayed with Amy Robbins and had two sons George and Frank and had a Daughter Anna-Jane with a writer called Amber Reeves.n
H.G wells first book was a textbook of Biology. He later came to make many best-selling successful books like The first men in the moon, The island of Dr Moreau and War of Worlds. He also had the reputation of seeing the future (He also guessed some way the military develop aircraft, That the German military would be defeated and that a European union would be founded). Wells also made some books that were based off his passed life.
H.G continued to publish many books, He tried to better organise society and made many Utopian books (a near perfect world) and his influence was bigger then any other writer. In 1927 he was sued unsuccessfully by a Canada writer who proclaimed he copied her book. in 1930 talked with Rabindranath Tagore about problems with the government, Education and Modern civilization. He kept on for the rest of his life publishing books and talking to many world leaders and fellow author. He died in 13th of August 1946. He was also one of the first to create a recreational war game and is also seen as the Father of Miniature War Gaming
